The Department of Leadership, Policy, and Lifelong Learning at the University of South Florida (USF) invites applications for an Assistant Tenure-Track Professor position. This is a 9-month position effective August 7, 2024 (potential to start in Spring if interested). The position requires the ability to teach in the master’s degree program in College Student Affairs and the doctoral program in Higher Education Administration. We seek applicants who integrate sound theoretical and methodological choices into their research program, merge foundations with applications to problems of practice, and foster the intellectual and professional development of students in, or entering, careers in higher education or student affairs administration. Specifically, applicants should be able to advance a research program, service activities, and teaching innovations that coincide with the department’s aim to promote global awareness, diversity, equity, and well-being in various education organizations and agencies. Earned doctorate in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration or related field.
Evidence of potential for a focused research agenda in higher education or a related field.
Evidence of teaching effectiveness.
Evidence of successful experiences and the ability to work with a diverse community of students, faculty, staff, and external constituents.
