The Thesis and Dissertation Specialist is responsible for the coordination of submission and approval of all masters' theses and doctoral dissertations to the Graduate College, and the subsequent release to the UIC Library and ProQuest, Inc. Also responsible for approval of student Preliminary Exam and Defense Committees, and Graduate College faculty membership. The Thesis/Dissertation Specialist interacts frequently with the two Associate Deans for Academics, and the Dean, in addition to other staff in the College related to Graduate Faculty designations and student graduation information.
