The Department of Education Policy and Leadership at Southern Methodist University (SMU) invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Higher Education. This is a one-year, non-tenure track, nine-month contract, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year, beginning in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching coursework in our doctorates of education (EdDs) and Masters programs in Higher Education. The candidate should also be able to teach a variety of courses in higher education and providing service to the program and EPL department.

Position Requirements:
Earned doctorate in higher education or closely related field.
Experience facilitating adult learning in informal and formal settings.

Expertise or experience teaching courses in ideally two or more of the following areas: Academic Leadership, College Student Development, Organizational Change, Equity and Access
